You are an organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. With a passion for both customer service and workplace culture, you are eager to support our team while ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience when booking group visits. You have a natural ability to multitask, balancing the needs of employees with the logistics of group reservations.

As the People & Culture / Group Booking Assistant, you will play a key role in two essential areas: supporting our team with HR-related tasks and managing group bookings to create seamless experiences for our guests. You are proactive, approachable, and eager to contribute to a workplace that reflects our farm’s values of connection, hospitality, and joy.

This dual-role position will allow you to engage with both our team and our guests, ensuring that our people feel supported and that group bookings run smoothly. Whether you’re assisting with recruitment, scheduling, or employee engagement initiatives, or coordinating group reservations, you’ll be a vital part of the Greendale Acres experience. Compensation:

Part-Time & Seasonal: $20-$26 / Hour

(Full time work is available with inclusion of other roles/tasks)

Key Responsibilities:

  • People & Culture Support
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain scheduling, attendance, and employee agreements and reviews, ensuring accurate records.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and workplace culture programs.
  • Address basic HR-related inquiries, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Assist in organizing employee training and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace policies and assist with health and safety initiatives.

Group Booking Coordination:

  • Manage group booking inquiries, providing prompt and friendly communication to guests.
  • Coordinate group reservations, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of group visits and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, deposits, and payment schedules.
  • Assist in resolving booking issues or last-minute changes with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a positive experience from booking to arrival.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, HR, or hospitality-related role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, booking, or HR software is an asset.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • A passion for people-first experiences—both for employees and guests.
  • Experience in a seasonal, hospitality, or event-based industry is a plus.

Full or part time, seasonal position: 

Greendale Acres operates seasonally, as such the busiest periods for this position will be when we are open to the public and the weeks leading up to opening. Full time employment would require rolls beyond the above outlined tasks such as assisting with operations.

SEASONS: Greendale Acres Season flow  

  • Winter Season (January - March): Closed to the public 
  • Spring Season (March - end of May): Plowing Match, Easter Egg Hunt, Spring flower and Baby Animal Festival
  • Summer Season (June - July): Closed to the public
  • Fall Season (August - end of October ): Summer Music Series, Flowers, Corn Maze, Pumpkin patch and Fall festivals
  • Christmas Season (November and December): Late November opening, Christmas light and train experience
